April 18th Las Vegas, NV – Havoc City Boxing and Fitness officially opens its doors to the public with an in-house boxing exhibition on April 18th from 11am-3pm. Guests are invited to come out the gym, learn about programs, watch a 7-time champ in the ring and snacks!
Founder and CEO of Havoc City Boxing, Brandon Harris is a 7 time Nevada State Heavyweight Champion and holds the bronze metal for the 2004 Olympic Western Trials. Brandon has been successfully teaching boxing to children and adults for 8 years in Las Vegas, all the while maintaining the dream of opening his own boxing gym.
Brandon grew up as a foster kid in Detroit, MI resulting from his mother’s passing when he was 8 years old. After bouncing around to 13 different foster homes he wound up in a home with a boy who treated him like a real brother and mentored him in boxing at the Kronk Gym in Detroit.
One week before his pro-boxing debut, Brandon’s mentor was violently killed in a carjacking. “I lost the one person who treated me like real family. I didn’t want to wind up dead on the streets like he did and I had to make sure I continued on in a way that would make him proud,” said Brandon. “I was emotionally beat down by the system, but it never broke my spirit, my will was strong and I knew I had to survive. Boxing built up my confidence, built up my belief in myself and kept me off the streets. Boxing saved me and now I use it to positively impact the lives of others at Havoc City Boxing and Fitness.”
Havoc City Boxing & Fitness focuses on optimizing health and fitness and on building self-confidence for men, women and children ages 5 years+. Programs include Little Havoc Summer Camp (ages 6-12), Saturday Self Defense, private training, childrens boxing, adult boxing, maui tai, zumba and various other dance fitness classes.
